Manche Überlieferungen bringen das erstmals im 12. Jh. erwähnte Schloß Ankenstein an der Drau/Drava, das heutige Borl in der slovenischen Untersteiermark, mit dem Vatergeschlecht von Parzivâl in Zusammenhang. Das Geschlecht der »Anschouwe« hätte hier den Stammsitz gehabt. Wolfram von Eschenbach nennt jedenfalls Gandîne (Hajdin), ein Vorort von Ptuj/Pettau, als Herkunftsort von Parzivâls Großvater Gandîn. Some traditions link the castle of Ankenstein on the Drava river (first mentioned in the 12th century), today's Borl in the Slovenian part of Styria, with the paternal family of Parzivâl. They claim that it was the ancestral seat of the »Anschouwe« dynasty. Anyway, Wolfram von Eschenbach wrote that Gandîne (Hajdin), a suburb of nearby Ptuj/Pettau, was the home of Parzivâl's grand-father Gandîn.
